This organic tea has the bold flavor of a high-fired tea, yet it has a pleasing smoothness with delicate sweetness. The thin, well-twisted leaves produce a liquor with a pale green color. A very popular style of China green tea.

| The aroma is smoky: much less so than gunpowder tea but nonetheless quite smoky. The smoky character is bold without overpowering the other aspects of the tea. The aroma also has some intricate aspects to it. The tea is much less bitter than the aroma would suggest, and it has a cool and clean aftertaste. I like this one very much, and it is very inexpensive. I recommend to drink it on its own, as opposed to having it with food. The complexities of the aroma can easily get covered up by other flavors. Also, make sure not to brew this one with water that is too hot. |
