Herbal Tea: Ginseng Tea

Ginseng is a plant valued for its supposed medicinal properties. While its root is normally used in medicine, its leaves are also frequently used in tea. Many ginseng teas contain a blend of both root and leaves. When unspecified, ginseng in an ingredient list usually (but not always) refers to the root of the plant.

There are several different species of Ginseng, including species native both to Asia and North America.

Ginseng is frequently blended with teas, such as green or oolong teas. This category is for herbal teas made exclusively of ginseng.
